December 2007 … The Contact Roberta page was not working since early October but it has now been repaired, so if you tried to contact me earlier, please resubmit and accept my apologies for the inconvenience. I am officially collecting stories for my True Kitty Tales collection. This will be one and two page comics stories, that can have YOUR kitty as the star! If you have (or had) an interesting or very special cat, (and which cat is NOT special?) please contact me! The first two (of four) Mother Mountain novels are completed and I am looking for a publisher. I have also written a 90+ page graphic novel based on the epic, which I will begin to illustrate and plan to put on the web early next year. Stay tuned for information on my 2008 appearances. I plan to be at RadCon in the Tri-cities in February and at Norwescon in Seattle Easter weekend.

Real Cat Toons are STILL available! Roberta's cat comics and stories are out in a small-press edition, which is a fund-raiser for her diabetic kitty's vet bills. Each comes with an original drawing on the back, too! Buy it here!

Road Strips, an anthology of stories about regional America. Contains color comics by several talented comics professionals, including Gilbert Hernandez Pete Bagge, Lloyd Dangle, Jessica Abel, Peter Kuper and…Roberta. Copies will be available at the San Diego Convention: Chronicle Books/Drawn and Quarterly booth, even though the official release date is Fall, 2005.

Welcome to my web site! Here, you can keep up with all that's going on in my creative life, see and read examples of what I've brought into the world lately, meet other creative and interesting folks, and purchase my books and comics and artwork!

I am best known for my Bitchy Bitch cartoon character, star of dozens of comic books, several trade paperback collections (translated into French, Spanish, Swedish and German), the animated cartoon series "Life's a Bitch" that aired on the Oxygen Network and can now be seen on The Comedy Network in Canada, the weekly strip that appeared in Seattle, Portland and New York (and now collected and available for purchase!) and then the three stage plays that ran in Seattle in 1995, and the cloth doll and the action figure…. And let's not forget her lesbian counterpart, Bitchy Butch!

But, that's not all! Frankly, I have trouble recalling it all after decades of pages in print. There's my metaphysical-fantasy graphic novel: Winging It, the adult series: Artistic Licentiousness, the comic strip: Sheila and the Unicorn, and my current project: Mother Mountain.

My new interest in hypnotherapy keeps me busy, as well and is inspiring many new creative projects. I have always been fascinated (and amused!) by the workings of the human mind and it is a treat to learn more about it every day!
