Bitchy Bitch made her first live appearance, portrayed by Maggie Bloodstone, in the Seattle Fringe Theater Festival in March, 1995. Bitchy Bitch Live was written by Roberta Gregory, adapted, produced and directed by Alan Reade, and assistant-directed by Connie Shillinger.
In June and July of 1995, the play was substantially revised by Roberta and remounted at the Theatre Off Jackson in Seattle's International District. Maggie Bloodstone starred again as Bitchy (of course!), produced by Alan Reade, adapted by Alan Reade and Gaen Murphree, and directed by Gaen Murphree. Alan Reade also played Midge's mother and a Christian woman in Midge's office.
In December, 1995, Roberta, Maggie, and Robert Lawson (co-adaptor and director) brought Bitchy's special brand of holiday cheer (?) to Seattle's Crocodile Cafe in A Very Bitchy Christmas.
